The road safety awareness program held in conjunction with the World Children's Day

The road safety awareness program held in conjunction with the World Children's Day was held at the Road Safety Unit established in Viharamaha Devi Park on 01 October 2023 and the Hon'ble Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Dr. Bandula Gunawardena and the Hon'ble Minister of State for Transport Lasantha were the chief guests. It was done with the cooperation of Mr. Alagiyawanna. For this, 100 1st and 2nd grade students studying in Nikahatikanda Junior College, Yatawara Junior College, Bopagama Junior College, Ratambale Junior College, several teachers and parents were also involved. Also, a group of government officials including Mr. Malith Jayathilaka, Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Mr. Indika Hapugoda, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Traffic and Road Safety), and Director Engineer (Colombo Mahanagara Sabha) Mr. PH Chandapala participated in this event.
